Typical Density Range

Common buyer challenges

  1. 01Large brands (Dunlopillo, ACT) require high minimum orders
  2. 02Generic local suppliers cannot maintain consistent density across batches
  3. 03Custom shapes require expensive tooling with inflexible suppliers
  4. 04Long lead times from distributors delay production schedules
  5. 05Pricing lacks transparency — factory-direct is hard to access

Common questions

Common questions

Technical and commercial questions answered directly.

What foam density is recommended for sofa cushions?+

For sofa and couch cushions, the recommended density range is D28–D40 kg/m³. Lower densities (D28–D32) produce softer seating, while D35–D40 provides firmer, longer-lasting cushions better suited for commercial or high-traffic furniture. Tjikko can produce both from the same molded foam line — contact us with your hardness preference (ILD) for a precise recommendation.

Can Tjikko produce foam to an existing sofa manufacturer's mold?+

Yes. Furniture manufacturers typically supply a CAD drawing, mold sketch, or physical sample. Tjikko produces the mold to your specification and manufactures foam pieces at your required density and quantity. This is the standard OEM workflow for furniture producers — no fixed minimum order, sample batches available before full production.

Is slab foam available for mattress production in bulk?+

Yes. Slab foam for mattress production is available in standard blocks (100cm × 120cm × 20cm) with custom slicing and cutting. Common mattress grades are D25–D35 for comfort layers and D35–D50 for support layers. Net daily output is approximately 5,472 pieces — scalable for recurring mattress manufacturing schedules.

What is the lead time for custom furniture foam orders?+

Lead time for custom molded foam orders is 7–14 working days from mold confirmation. Slab foam with custom cutting has a similar lead time depending on cutting complexity. Fast-track may be available for standard configurations. Contact our sales team with your production schedule for a confirmed lead time.

Does Tjikko supply to furniture manufacturers outside Jakarta and Bekasi?+

Yes. Tjikko delivers nationwide across Indonesia. Furniture manufacturers in Cirebon, Surabaya, Semarang, and other manufacturing centers are regular clients. Contact us for shipping terms and delivery estimates to your location.
